I got the seasonal persimmon, osmanthus oolong tea, and fermented rice drink and it was so fragrant and unique. It had strips of persimmon, rather than puree, and they added a fun texture. We also tried the four seasons milk tea with oat milk and oolong jelly, which was very tasty. You can sub almond, soy, or oat milk for most of the drinks. It got very busy, so you might want to order online for pickup if you don't want to wait.
Tea Hut was a unique and delicious place to get boba. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. The store has a set-order station where you put in your order and pay. The customization features are really nice, and the store makes the orders accurately. I got a strawberry tea with boba while my friend got a classic Thai milk tea with boba. The tea was very vibrant and fresh, and the type of milk that they use here is really high quality. The boba itself was also fresh, chewy and nicely sweetened.
If I'm being honest, I found out about this place on TikTok, and from looking at the drink with mochi, and the dragon fruit, we decided to try it out, and what more perfect timing that we spend our last day in California in San Francisco!
At first, I thought that we would be waiting forever in line to order our drinks, but it was a relief to see that the line was actually for the bakery right next door. It was still quite busy at Tea Hut, but that didn't stop anything from not being amazing! I was not expecting the drinks to be made from real, all natural fruits! It's actually pretty hard to find good places that are innovative AND use real, fresh fruit. It's even hard to find a good place that just uses real, fresh fruit!
I feel like everyone that was working had really good chemistry, and they all seemed experienced because I kept seeing them whipping out drink after drink! It was honestly pretty busy and more and more people kept coming and coming, but they still whipped out the drinks quickly and perfectly! They were also pretty nice as well.
I was happy to see that the seven drinks which we ordered were not only perfectly made, but also tasted delicious and were aesthetically pleasing! By the way, all the drinks weren't for me, but I did get two drinks, and one of them was the Mango Dreamer (with Boba), and the other was Cheese Dragonfruit (with Boba as well)! From my family I heard the drinks were super tasty, and one of my cousins finished it quickly and they NEVER finish any of their drinks, so I thought it must've been good. I personally liked the mango drink more than the dragonfruit one because it was more refreshing and I'm a big fan of mango drinks! The dragonfruit drink was tasty, but I wish it was colder, but overall it was really good and tasted just like dragonfruit! Same with the mango, it tasted just like mango and you could taste the tea that was added. The boba was also very tasty and very soft and lucious!
Overall, it was a pretty fun experience and opportunity to try this place out. It was awesome spending our final day of vacation in the bay area and San Francisco. We started in Vegas and stayed for a month, went to San Diego for a few days, then Sacramento, and now it's coming to an end, and I feel like I ended it on a high note by trying Tea Hut!
Fast and friendly service. They do get very busy around 3-4pm, but are very quick with getting out orders! Teas are great, but my favorites are coconut mango pudding- comes in a cute jar with a spoon to eat on the go: the coconut pudding is smooth and creamy and the mango tastes fresh and sweet! And my go to drink has to the be the Coco melon! Watermellon slushie with peices of coconut pudding, delicious and refreshing!
Got the lemon black tea with boba. The boba was good, but couldn't taste the tea so it was kind of like lemonade. There was also too many lemon/lime slices that made it hard to drink the boba.
The boba was good though.
Super overrated. Seen this popular spot on Instagram. Pros? Staff is kind & the wait time is short. I ordered a mango blended drink & a Thai tea with boba. The boba was very soft & fresh. Thai tea was mediocre. They had ran out of taro and it was still early in the day. Mango Dreamers tasted like real mangos. Cons: Asked for light ice but still received half a cup of ice by the time I finished the actual tea. The cups are small and you end up paying roughly $13 for two “large drinks”. Cute cups, but not even bang for my buck. They could do better. Thought the hype would be worth it. Wouldn’t spend my money here too often. Taste was ok. Presentation was nice.
New products are awesome! The pink lychee drink you must order once in here, and you will love the flavor. Dragon fruit drink also is a new one, since they use fresh dragon fruit, the flavor is incredible.
Amazing boba! They use fresh fruits and you can taste the difference ! In plus the staff is super friendly. Shoutout to Marco who helped me today, he was so kind and helpful !
